Who is the Professor of Pandernomics?

by Hal Trammell

If you discover who this person is, please share the info with me.

If it weren’t so obvious as to the pandering these Presidential candidates are doing, it wouldn’t be so hard to tolerate. Example: Hillary places 3rd. in Iowa. Immediately she goes to New Hampshire and plays the "I’m for the young people" card. Village, meet idiot!

Ah, how about John and Elizabeth Edwards. Liz seems to make things appear as if this is another 2-for-1 deal. She’ll be President, and John will be the face and mouthpiece during their reign. It’ll be easier for John to wage his war on poverty with his wife at the helm of things. Maybe they can boycott WalMart together or something, and be seen in unity once again. And then polish it off with a real date and treat at their local Wendy’s. Chilli, please.

The lead horse now is Barack Obama. Somehow he has become a kindred spirit amongst the younger voters, at least in Iowa. I’m afraid the younger, naive Obama doesn’t have a clue as to what is about to hit the fan. Mr. Obama, allow me to give you a free clue. Do you fully understand the politics of personal destruction? If so, please prove it and don’t be ashamed to acknowledge that you’re in the fight of your life. You can thank me later.

Then there’s Mike Huckabee, the Apostle of Araknsas, with his own St. Peter leading the way, via Ed Rollins. Give Rollins a sword and Huckabee’s opponents will be lucky to walk away with just an ear missing. Thankfully, Mr. Huckabee doesn’t have the "Sons of Thunder" with him on his tour. I’m waiting for candidate Huckabee to share his Damascus Road Experience with us soon...T-shirts, bumper stickers, and all.

How about Mitt Romney? Some people are on his case for being a Mormon. So what if he’s a Mormon. No one is on Huckabee’s case for being an idiot. And an evangelical idiot at that. Mitt does have his highs and lows, but let’s not count him out just yet.

Hey, here’s the old tough guy John McCain, part of the Gang of.... oh well. Forget about it. A couple of state wins will not produce a President. Sorry, John.

The jury seems to still be out on Rudy. A no show in Iowa, and also not much noise about him lately regarding much of anything else. His campaign deserves a close watch.

And then there’s Fred Thompson. In my opinion, the John Wayne of the Conservative Party. Until you can show me differently, along with a powerful persuasion, I’ll follow my instincts on this one. Of course, comments are welcomed.

[Edited:  I admit it.  I didn't see McCain nor Obama taking the prize.  Having said that, it's still sad to think this is the best and brightest that America has to offer.  If that's the case, we're in big trouble.]

Wanna Perform Like Well-rested Monkey?

by Hal Trammell

All you have to do is drink about 8 pots of coffee and do about 3 vials of this new nasal spray and you’re good to go. Of course, cocaine and meth do about the same thing, except it’ll kill you quicker...and those drugs are much more expensive. And it’s against the law!

These folks seems to think that you can just go for days without sleep, and then grab this little magic pick-me-up, and all is well. By the way, I’ve never heard of anyone over-dosing on sleep, have you? If so, shoot me an email and I’ll share it here.

I’ve gone through periods in my life when at times, I required more sleep, and then there were times when I didn’t require as much sleep. Presently, I take all I can get and make no apologies for it. I intend on leaving a huge carbon-snoring footprint behind, regardless of the costs and who has to pay for it. I mean, that’s the American way, right. Remember, no one can have the solution if there is no crisis to solve, even if you have to invent them.

Anyway, enjoy the new and improved Culture of Wide Awake America.

Yawn.....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

A Village of Pinocchios

by Hal Trammell

Hillary Clinton:

At the mention of her name, when she becomes President, oil prices will immediately drop

Followed by Satan’s habitat being inflicted with Global Cooling and ice...and domesticated Sus scrofa will fly.

[Ed:  the word Sus scrofa is a big word for a country boy to go slingin' around]

John Edwards:

While taking it to the "Poverty Jihadists", John Edwards is explaining why he’s fighting the poverty terrorists over there, so we don’t have to fight them here. Former Senator and Vice-Presidential candidate Edwards stated that he’s doing his darndest to attack poverty. As an example, he said he’s already acquired a little over one hundred acres, where he’s built a nice family sized home,  well, that is if you’re huge family, say, about 3 times the size of the Walton family.

Say goodbye, Johnboy. Hey, and those $400 haircuts. You must understand modern economics, silly people. It’s simple. If he only paid $20 for a haircut, not much of that would go back into the economy. But, paying $400 for a haircut, well, you do the math. John Edwards is slaying poverty all by himself.

____________________________________________________________________________Barack Obama:

Well, I’ll have to say one thing for Obama. He’s never at a loss for words.  Read here.

____________________________________________________________________________
Bill Richardson:

He has a bad habit of sticking his foot in his mouth much too often. You can read here, and then
watch here.

Last but not least, this last link should cover pretty much all candidates, both Democrat and Republican.

Enjoy the evening and I hope everyone has a Happy New Year.

Experience, huh?

by Hal Trammell

Well here ya go:

Hillary Clinton keeps claiming that her 8 years as First Lady (Co-President) should qualify her to become President.

[so that means my uncle can run for Sheriff since he’s spent 8 years in prison, as he knows about Law Enforcement.]

Barack Obama claims that "It's that experience, that understanding, not just of what world leaders I went and talked to in the ambassadors house I had tea with, but understanding the lives of the people like my grandmother who lives in a tiny hut in Africa," Obama, D-Ill., told a crowd of would-be voters in Coralville, Iowa, on Friday.
[My grandmother lived in an old run down mill house. Does that qualify me to be President? If not, why?]

John Edwards’ Poverty Tour is really working. He’s crushing poverty at about $45,000 per gig. Not bad for a "Po’ Boy".

[John Edwards fighting poverty is akin to sending in Mike Tyson to break up a fight]

Mike Huckabee is proof that there is something in the water in Arkansas. Why is it that a Presidential candidate from Arkansas can never tell the truth?

[Hey, I can take cash gifts as well as anyone. Color me Presidential.  Honestly, I think that electing Huckabee as President would be like Andy Taylor giving Deputy Barney Fife a new Glock with a full clip.]

Mitt Romney seems to flip and flop a lot. Must be a New England thing.

[sorta like those prison rations my uncle used to serve up. Flip-flops was his specialty. So, he’s qualified, right?]

John McCain says "I am legend".

[my uncle says a half-a-mind is a terrible thing to waste]

So there you have it, Campaign ‘08. And you heard it here first.

I'm Impressed With Fred

by Hal Trammell

I watched the new video  that Fred Thompson has released and it's an excellent 17 minute talk to the people.

I think he had a good message that most people can relate to and he comes across as a genuine guy who wants to help make the USA a better country.  Sure, that's what they all say, but there's something about this guy that impresses me that he's the real deal.  I'm sure we could do much worse.

Just my 2¢.

New Bhutto Video

by Hal Trammell

This video shows very clearly that Ms. Bhutto was shot at, three times and then the bomb exploded after the third shot.  The clip is 4minutes 42 seconds and if you will pay particular attention as the shooter fires the second round, Ms. Bhutto's head covering flings upwards at the back of her head, and that's when she appears to fall into the automobile.  I think this is a very telling piece of footage.

At about 52 seconds into the clip, you will see her head covering being moved about.  Also, at approximately 4:38 seconds, you will see the replay again, except a little slower and more able to notice what appears to be Ms. Bhutto being struck by the second shot.

What a Mess

by Hal Trammell

This is America, right?  The greatest nation in the world.  In spite of it all, look at the choices we have regarding the next election for President.  Is this the best we can do?  Are we really getting to choose from among America's brightest and best?  If so, it's going to be a bumpy ride.

Thankfully, neither side can claim to be any more sane than the other.  The R's have Ron Paul and the D's have Dennis 'No Strings' Kucinich.  If you read or heard or watched some of these candidates speaking regarding the Bhutto killing in Pakistan, you had to be hoping that everyone listening had their sound muted.

Everything, every word, every ad, every prop...they are all very carefully planned and staged.  Sometimes things work and sometimes they don't.  The one thing that disturbs me most is the media has to constantly "steer we the people" to the right choice, because we aren't smart enough to choose for ourselves.

I hope many of us will keep striving to prove them wrong.
